When the global trade wave was picking up, our founders felt the necessity to participate to boost Nepal’s economy. While researching, they realized the potential in abundant ancestral knowledge of Ayurveda and Amchi traditions using the diverse medicinal herbs found in the country. Already having a pharmaceutical background, all they needed was to combine the knowledge and natural resources with the latest technology to start a revolutionary idea, and thus Fleur Himalayan Limited was established in 1996.

While the whole world is finally realizing the importance and benefits of medicinal herbs, one can trace the history of their usage in various traditional medicines in Asia to around 3000 years ago. Many of the herbs used in these traditions were sourced from various regions of Nepal, among which, many are well known to the Vaidhyas, the Ayurvedic doctors in and around the Kathmandu Valley. This knowledge of the herbs, techniques, and medicines is still being transferred down the generations and is preserved within the family.
