TAMSULIN (Tamsulosin HCI) capsules are indicated for lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) associated with a medical condition called benign prostatic hyperplasia or BPH.

One tablet (0.4 mg) once daily at the same time each day with or without food.

You should not use TAMSULOSIN if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to tamsulosin or any of the other ingredients in TAMSULOSIN. Hypersensitivity may present as sudden local swelling of the soft tissues of the body (e.g. the throat or tongue), difficult breathing and/or itching and rash (angioedema).

Because tamsulosin may cause some people to become dizzy or feel faint, make sure how to react to this medicine before you drive, use machines, or do anything else that could be dangerous if you are dizzy or not alert.

  • Dizziness, particularly when getting up from a seated or lying position.
  • Cough or hoarseness
  • Fever or chills
  • Lower back or side pain
  • Painful or difficult urination

Store at controlled room temperature (59° to 86°F). Protect from excessive moisture.
