Indicated for the treatment of generalized, partial or other epilepsy in children.
20mg/kg of body weight per day or as directed by the physician.
Sodium valproate is contraindicated – In pregnancy; Active liver disease and Hypersensitivity to sodium valproate
Liver problems may occur while receiving sodium valproate and some may be serious. Consult your doctor if you are having any of these: abdominal or stomach pain or tenderness, dark urine, decreased appetite, fever, headache, itching, , nausea and vomiting, skin rash, swelling of the feet or lower legs, unusual tiredness or weakness, or yellow eyes or skin.
