One test accepted everywhere. The slogan is yet to be materialize as there are only few laboratories in Nepal which is globally accepted for some parameters. Being one of the most advanced laboratories for chemical and microbiological related analysis in Nepal, it is our responsibility and opportunities to make effort to provide analytical services of wide range to the international repute. With this vision, we took effort to establish NRF.
Nepal Research Foundation (P) Limited (NRF) was incorporated in 2065 B.S. (2009 A.D.) and established at Om Ashram, Birganj of Parsa district, in Narayani zone, Nepal (Province no. 2- now, renamed as Madhesh Pradesh). NRF was promoted by an entrepreneur- Mr. Mahendra B.Amatya who had a great professional experience as Managing Director, and is supported by professional management/technical team for monitoring and operating round the clock in all the functions of the organization complying to ISO 17025 and GLP requirements. The total area of ASD, NRF is about 4104 sq.ft. + 408 sq. ft. (Total=4512 sq. ft)
The activity of the organization is to give analytical services to Pharma, Food, Beverages, Cosmetics and Ayurvedic pharma sectors and formulation development services to Pharma sector. The company has a state of the Art analytical and R&D facility with skilled staff to develop new projects/process and to analyze different products from the above sectors.
The Site is built up in the second and third floors on the corporate office of NRF/NPL. The laboratory has been recognized by Department of Drug Administration (Patra sankhya: 066/67 Challani no. 1845 dated 2066.11.26B.S.). The laboratory has also been recognized by Nepal Bureau of Standards and Metrology (NBSM) under NEPLAS Accreditation scheme (Praman Patra sankhya:10-2068/69 dated 2068.10.22 // 2071.10.22 // 2074.10.22 // 2078.10.06 BS). The laboratory has been accredited as per ISO/IEC 17025:2017 by AERSSC (Cert. no. CT-001/3 Issue date 09.06.2020) (Accreditation Education Research and Scientific Services Centre) (Previous Cert. nos.: CT-001 Issue date 09. 06.2014 // 09.06.2017 as per ISO/IEC 17025:2005). The laboratory is also accredited as per ISO/IEC 17025:2017 by NABL (Cert. no.: TC-7400 Issue date: 06.09.2021) (National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories), India (Previous Certificate nos.: Cert. No.: TC-7400 Issue date 18.10.2019// TC-7400 (in lieu of T-4101 as per ISO/IEC 17025:2005) Issue date 06.09.2018// T-4101 Issue date 06.09.2016 ) in the discipline of Chemical testing.
The NRF, F R&D division serves the pharma sector in new drug dosage development, documentation process, new analytical method development process, validation of manufacturing processes of pharmaceutical formulation from lab scale to scale up batches and up to commercial batches, validates new analytical methods, technology transfer documentation and on site training programs to various levels of technical staffs in the above sectors.
