  • AMX-CV DS – Children 3 months of age and older and weighing less than 40 kg—Dose is based on body weight and must be determined by your doctor. The dose is usually 40 mg per kg of body weight per day every 8 hours or 45 mg per kg of body weight per day every 12 hours.
  • Children younger than 3 months of age—Dose is based on body weight and must be determined by your doctor. The dose is usually 30 mg per kg of body weight per day every 12 hours.

If you are allergic to amoxicillin, clavulanic acid or any of the ingredients of this medicine.

  • Kidney Disease:

In patients with kidney disease, drug should be used with caution. Dosage needed to be adjusted. Patients with serious kidney failure should not take this drug.

  • Liver Disease:

In patients with liver disease, drug should be used with caution. Dosage needed to be adjusted. When taking this medication, you should get your liver function tested on a regular basis.
