Skin & skin structure, Acute & chronic respiratory tract infections, Urinary Tract Infection, Gonorrhoea. Prophylaxis of endocarditis. Prophylaxis of spleen disorders & bacterial endocarditis. Adjunct for H pylori-associated peptic ulcer.
Upper respiratory tract,skin & soft tissue infections – Adult 250 mg 8 hrly. 8 hrly.
Lower resp tract infections Adult 500 mg 8 hrly.
H pylori-associated gastritis or peptic ulcer 500 mg qds or 750 mg tds.
Lyme disease 250-500 mg tds-qds for 3-4 wk.
Hypersensitivity to β-lactams e.g, penicillins, cephalosporins. Presence of bleeding disorders, GI disease, infectious mononucleosis. Renal impairment.
Hypersensitivity to penicillins, cephalosporins, carbapenems, other β-lactams & allergens. Discontinue use if superinfections occur. Antibiotic-associated pseudomembranous colitis, lymphatic leukaemia.
Anaphylaxis, anaemia, thrombocytopenia, GI reactions – mild diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting; headache, oral & vaginal candidiasis, pseudomembranous colitis.
Store at room temperature not exceeding 30°C
